Hitchin’s Scream! Shout! Say Nothing released their debut album ‘The Animals Still Run This City’ on Scylla Records on Monday 1st September 2008. 'TASRTC' was recorded at Sensible Music in London on Easter Sunday 2008 by Hell Is For Heroes and former Symposium guitarist Will McGonagle. Mastering duties for the album were in the more than capable hands of Swedish hardcore legend Pelle Henricsson, a man whose previous mastering credits include the likes of Poison The Well and Refused. Mixing the ambient guitars of Explosions In The Sky, the driving melodic bass lines of Death Cab For Cutie, the dirty riffs of Refused, the off-kilter energy of At The Drive In and the angular guitar work of Minus The Bear, Scream! Shout! Say Nothing have produced as ambitious a debut album as you're likely to hear this year - and in doing so, have most certainly justified Scylla Records decision to sign the band after just their second gig. In their own words, the band say "we don't have any bells, whistles, or flashing lights. We make music we like and play it for people who want to listen." And luckily for them, it seems that there are plenty of people who want to listen. Over the past couple of years, they've shared stages with some of the UK’s finest bands including Enter Shikari, Hell Is For Heroes, Bossk, Fell Silent, Cutting Pink With Knives and Jairus, and a series of DIY UK tours have seen Scream! Shout! Say Nothing earn a reputation as a thoroughly explosive and intense live proposition.
