Lets see, I think it all started when the guy at Dutchy's Record Cave in Montreal saw me buying the first Television and Ramones records. His response was" You wanna hear a real punk rock record, try this," and handed me Raw Power. Has not been the same, ever since. Well thats not exactly true, there was KiSS and the Partridge Family before that but thats not very mythic, is it? I played in an early version of The Asexuals-when they were still a punk rock cover band, then came Boy Say No and Big King Corpse. Moved back to Montreal in '86 to found The Doughboys w/ Johnny K and Brock Pytel. Left after the first album and tour and formed Luther Victim with Pat Madden which still exists(mostly as a recording project) to this day. Moved back to T.O. around '90 and did a brief stint with the The Hubbards before going on to form the band Rusty with the three surviving members of One Free Fall. Since their demise I have been writing and recording again with Luther Victim, doing some solo tracks, and have a new project called Las Reatas (originally started with Rob Stefaniuk from Laudanum and Mamabolo and director of "Suck") that ranges from samples and telephone message vocals to a recent albums worth of material generated on Garageband with my old Luther Victim collaborator, Glam Parson.
Finally, I will be doing a couple of reunion shows this summer with Rusty at North by Northeast in Toronto, June 16'th and 17'th. Hope to see you there!
