BIO: SCOOPASTAR

Born on New Years Day in a Chi-Town (Chicago) Blizzard unable to be reached by an ambulance while his mother Shawronah frantically pushed and his father Rahzahn panicking on the phone with the Doctor, Scoopastar birthed himself and from that day on his parents knew he would be a blessed child and destined for stardom. At an early age he moved from Chicago to California, and by the age of 12 he ended up in Almeda Plaza, a middle class neighborhood in Houston. Along with his step-father George and his three brothers Ben, A.J., and Arsenio. Surrounded by guns, drugs, and violence in his community and the stress of watching his mother struggle to pay bills he was forced to start hustling to provide for his family. Which made him victim to incarceration at an early age, growing up around thieves, murderers, jackers, dealers, and player haters that over the years continued to do the same things but never advanced which made him realize he didnt want to be a part of this never ending cycle. Although it wouldnt be easy to leave the streetlife, and after alot of run-ins with the law, neighborhood rivals, friendly betrayal, deaths of loved ones and trouble in school Scoopastar was determined to do something more positive with his life Scoopastar was influenced by the late Rap-a-Lot recording artist Curtis Davis aka Big Mello who resided in Almeda Plaza also and who showed interest in helping him make the transition from hustling to rapping, and recorded his first song with producer Crazy C which was Bone Hard Niggaz. After being introduced to the music he later met the late Robert Davis aka D.J. SCREW,where he then began freestyling on tapes that were sold on the underground market such as Soakin Wet, Facin Time, Southsides Most Wanted, Off The Head, Telephone Love, and Freestyle Kings. After being expelled from Madison High School he wasnt allowed to attend any public schools in Houston so his mother was forced to send him to a G.E.D. school in Houstons Third Ward which was C.L.C. where he became friends with 2-Low who was a young Rap-a-Lot recording artist and also a victim of Houstons ghetto streetlife. From there 2-Low introduced Scoopastar to Lil Troy and Yungstar where they became to be homies. Lil Troy the C.E.O. of Short Stop Records took a liking into Scoopastars street persona and rap style so he called him to the studio in November of 1998 to record a verse with 2-Low on the song Thug Niggas on his soon to be multi-platinum album titled Wanna Be A Balla, which came out in February of 1999 with the hit single being Wanna Be A Balla, the song was broadcasted on the radio and became a nationwide success which led up to the Wanna Be A Balla Tour, which Scoopastar was a part of which also included other talented rap artists such as 2-Low, D-Man, Bad Company, Ardis, and Lil Will. While on tour Lil Troy was given a record label distribution deal with Universal Records after that they later went on to do Straight From the Streets with Madd Hatta a local promotional t.v. show and shoot the Wanna Be A Balla video, the Wanna Be A Balla movie, which is now titled Back 2 Ballin and also the H-Town M.O.B. movie all of which Scoopastar featured in where he became friends with Lil Flip of Sucka Free Records. The album debut went double platinum which granted Scoopastar his first platinum plaque. After which Lil Troy got into a personal situation where he had to take a break from the music, during Lil Troys hiatus Lil Flip introduced Scoopastar to Hump the C.E.O. of Sucka Free Records and they began to record music for the albums H.S.E. (Hustlers Stacking Ends) and The Leprechaun where Scoopastar recorded the songs Throwed Thankas, Green Rectangles, and My Dogs which they performed in concerts around the southern region. They also with C.Note and the Botany Boys ft. in the Hot Boys movie Balla Blockin. Scoopastar then had a run in with the law in Louisiana and with the complications of fighting his court case he went back to his fast money lifestyle to pay for his attorney and in doing so it intervened with his music career. After his situation was disposed of he started his own rap group with very talented artists such as 2-Low, D-Man, A.J., Obie Cashcade, Brikkshakka, Rodjo, and Senistar who are known as Thug Mafia. Being obligated to finance their album Scoopastar was trapped back in the streetlife. Still having love from music producers and rappers he was able to keep his name alive by featuring in Money Blacks Dirty South video, Showtimes Houston Underworld DVD, Rysques Peepshow Movie and Album, Platinum Magazine article with Al-D(D.J. Screws brother) and Street Flava with various Houston artists. During that time Scoopastar went on to record multiple songs with producers Awol formerly of the Black Monks, and Scoopastars cousin Noke D of Wreckshop Records who produced many hits for the label. With the dreams of success sold to Scoopastar by various labels and street complications Scoopastar was determined to put out his groups album independently, and is currently working to take his group from the underground market to mainstream in the rap industry
