There's no question about it. California has been the birthplace of some of the best artists and producers in the music industry. This remains true with recording artist and hip-hop/R&B producer Bright (Being Real in Gathering Humorous Thoughts). With an original style, humorously soulful sound, and laid back flow, his music is already making an impact on both fans and fellow celebrities, and will continue to be a major music influence for years to come.



Two of the major influences on Bright¢s original style and flow come from his upbringing and surroundings. Born C. Bailey in Pasadena, California, Bright was raised in San Bernardino (known by locals as the IE) in an environment of street hustlers, gangstas, and a lot of other hood grinders. He started rapping around the age of 13, and was heavily influenced by his older brother, who was in and out of prison, and his father, an ex-gang member and hustler from Los Angeles who later relocated to the IE. By his father also being an old school DJ in the neighborhood, this gave Bright an additional tool in learning the skills to advance into the new school era of music.



"Don¢t consider me a thug or gangsta," says Bright. "I¢ve been around it all my life. My aim is to inspire those less fortunate, those who are a part of the struggle, and those who don¢t understand what is not explained in or out of their household. I¢ve always believed that me being ¡ahead of my time¢ does not mean I grew up too fast, but that I have been given the gift to reach out and teach the unexplainable."



Already having worked with such artists as Bay Area rapper, Mistah F.A.B., DL2 from Laray/Konvict music and 40 Glocc from Infamous/G-Unit, and various producers in the industry; and having opened for the likes of Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Chingy, Guerilla Black, Keak da Sneak and more, Bright is well on his way to the list of top artists and producers from Cali. "I feel that in order to become a success in what we strive for in life," says Bright, "we must apply the four major keys which are God, dedication, respect, and patience." "By applying these keys, if it is the Lord¢s will, we shall rise and Make It Happen." With these beliefs and talent in his corner, success is a given.
