Talented, beautiful, humorous and relatable are just some of the words used to describe Savvy & Mandy. These Southern California sisters began their singing career when they were still in elementary school. Auditioning for producer Colleen Fitzpatrick (aka Vitamin C) and Ron Baldwin, Savvy & Mandy who were just 9 and 11 years old at the time, showed vocal talent way beyond their years. The girls first single, Waiting For The Heartbreak, debuted in the Top 30 countdown on Radio Disney, and continued to climb the charts over the next few months, and eventually was voted one of the Top 50 Songs Of The Year for 2008. Their follow-up track, Here I Am, was released soon after, and also debuted in the Top 30 countdown, where it remained for months as well. “Here We Are”, their debut EP, was released in 2008 and sold exclusively at Walmart retail locations and all digital download sites.
Savvy & Mandy's music was featured on the hit MTV shows Newport Harbor and The Hills, as well as on online games such as GirlSense and Zoovolution. In the spring of 2010 Savvy & Mandy partnered with Clevver TV to host an ongoing show called “Backstage Pass with Savvy & Mandy”, which gives viewers a behind the scenes peek into the lives of Hollywood's teen stars.
Savvy & Mandy have traveled all over the United States performing with artists such as Demi Lovato, Allstar Weekend, Drake Bell, Honor Society, Brian Mcknight, Kimberly Locke, Kyle and Chris Massey, Grand Funk Railroad and Ace Young among many others. Their presence on numerous red carpets, celebrity and charity events, have made these sisters a part of the young Hollywood scene. As the girls have matured, so has their music. The first single “Words” from their upcoming CD, takes the girls in a more rock/pop direction. The music video for “Words”, directed by Alfredo Flores (Justin Bieber) also features stars Francia Raisa and Allen Evangelista from The Secret Life Of The American Teenager, and Mark Hapka from Days Of Our Lives. Savvy & Mandy are currently in the studio writing and recording new music for their upcoming CD, set to be released in the fall of 2010. You can be sure that these sisters will be making their mark on the music scene for years to come!
