Savino Martinez

Savino Martino, (Stage Name: Martinez) was born in Cassino the 25th of January 1967.
He was a vinyl lover already since the age of 10, and as he grew up he started to work in local private radios as a hobby.
He soon met with Claudio coccoluto with whom he immediately built up a very important friendship and afterwards a strong working partnership.
He debuts as a dj at the "Summit" Club in Formia in 1984 and in 1988 he witnesses the Zen's (Club based in Sperlonga) birth, where he collaborates with Claudio for the next four years.
In the following years Savino perfectionates his sound in several clubs based in Naples (Cube, Hype, Dash) where he works together with the Angels of love.
He has a great culture and passion towards rare vinyl; in his extremely accurate dj sets Martinez alternates funky music, 70's grooves, tribal and latin american percussions and electro house, creating interest even in the most sceptical listeners with astonishing results.
In 1990 he starts his career as a producer founding the "House without window" studio.
In January 1996 he is the resident Dj at the "Dynamik" club in Naples , where Claudio Coccoluto in collaboration with Tina Lepre develops the "Arte Dinamika" project, "musical and figurative art seen from different points of view".
In 1997 he starts the creation of the H. W. W. studio's two labels: "The Dub" an underground label looked after by Claudio and Savino, "Dub Tronic" and succesively E.III, managed by Dino.
Stating his productions, we can surely mention "Belo Horizonti", which he produces in 1996 under the pseudonim of "The Heartists" together with Claudio Coccoluto, inspired by the track "Celebration suite" by Airto Moreira (1977).
He also produces together with Claudio,as "The Dub Duo", at the end of 1988 "Back To Lo-Tech", his first Lp on the english label "NRK".
In 1999 Playstation uses The Heartist's "Belo Horizonti" as the soundtrack for the game "Ronaldo Football", and in 2004 again for the Playstation game system some tracks by World Famous Martinez Orchestra & Coccoluto are inserted in Claudio Coccoluto's "Dj & EFX"
Videogame. He has been guest dj at London's "Ministry of Sound", in occasion of Claudio Coccoluto's birthday, at Ibiza's "Pacha" for the "Belo Horizonti" party, at Rimini's "Ecu", Pescara's "Underground City", at Rome's "Goa" as "The Dub Duo", "Alien", "Horus", Rome's "Piper" Club, Frosinone's "Sottosopra", Atina's "Millaenya", Naples's "Cube", "Hype" in Caserta, "Bright Tunnel" (in S. MariaCapuaVetere) with Tina Lepre and at "The Sin Theatre in
Dublin.
He has a great passion for the internet, computers and music.
