After a transitional year, folk/pop darling Crissi Cochrane is happy to admit that she's doing quite well with the release of her new EP, Pretty Alright. Recorded in Windsor, Ontario, the six-song follow-up to Darling, Darling (2010) showcases Crissi's ability to charm listeners with her honest lyricism and compelling songwriting.
Opening with the daring "I Won't Try To Break Your Heart" and flowing into warm and intimate songs, Pretty Alright proves Crissi is a dynamic vocalist - by turns vivaciously energetic and unassumingly sweet. The home-recorded EP emanates a warm, quiet confidence, making it the perfect complement to autumn and winter months.
Raised in rural Nova Scotia, Crissi entered the music scene as a young teen and moved to Halifax at 18, determined to hone her musical talents and learn the ropes of the industry. Today in her early 20s, Crissi is a do-it-yourself artist, handling most all graphic design, tour booking, radio tracking, and anything in between. With dedicated musicianship and promising songwriting, Crissi is an artist to follow.
