Jamaican born Sasha Samantha was raised in a small town ironically named Big Bridge, Westmoreland. Strengthened by her Mother, humbled by strict Grandparents, Sasha attended church religiously. Active involvement in Sunday school led to the love of leadership and discovery of vocal potential which was recognized at an early age often times being called up on by visiting Pastors for renditions.



At age 10, Sasha migrated to the States and settled in White Plains, New York. The new girl on the block quickly adjusted, traded her Primary School uniform for plain clothes welcome to Middle School, life was exciting. She joined the school’s chorus class (choir) and remembered her first solo being “In the Still of The Night” a star was born. High school was a bit more challenging, though not obvious today the once really shy Sasha tried desperately to fit in. Her biggest challenge came by way of a Chorus Class assignment, which required putting together a group that would perform harmoniously for the entire school. The experience exposed Sasha to the stage and the audience to Sasha. She had discovered herself and realized that singing was going to be an essential part of her life.



While most kids at 16 was looking for summer jobs at McDonalds, Sasha was looking for management, trying to get a head start on what she now wanted to be her professional career. She would perform everywhere Funerals weren’t off limits, this devolved her vocal range, what was once potential had now become. With musical Influences by Bob Marley, Beres Hammond and Nadine Sutherland, infused with her biggest inspiration by way of her daughter, Sasha has matured both musically and personally. Her music career has been nurtured by Lionface Records where she is currently working on a freshman release of her debut “Opposites Attract” with guests features by Lady Saw and ReggaeTwinz.

She has become one of New York’s most recognized female performers headlining the Label’s annual ‘Showtime” event, alongside the likes of Alaine and D’angel. Sasha has also performed in Jamaica at “Unite the People” along with Beres Hammond, Queen Ifrica, Cocoa Tea and “Westmoreland Curry Fest” alongside Busy Signal, Etana and many more and more recently at the 5th Annual Caribbean Classic Gold Invitational hosted by Cedric The Entertainer and featuring prominent acts such as BILL BELLAMY, TOMMY DAVIDSON on the comedy side and CHALICE, TESSANNE CHIN and ASSASSIN on the music side.



Fun Facts: “I enjoy, reading, writing, singing & dancing also hanging outdoors because I grew up in the countryside, where it is quite and peaceful and I enjoy that scenery. I also like to hang out with my friends a lot and I looove to eat”, I'll try anything!!!
