"I see the world in an abstract sort of way. I write about the forces within it, and the visions that are forced upon us. I love pretty things, stars, and dragonflies."

Sarah Morr's passion lies in the music itself. It echos through her words, guitar chords, and powerful, sultry voice. It is, "a feeling so real that you cannot believe."

New York native, Sarah Morr, has been singing for as long as she can remember, and playing guitar for as long as her hands were big enough. Born into a musical family, music was always on her mind, and her destiny from a young age. “I grew up with amazing music always around me,” said Sarah. “Fleetwood Mac, The Doors, Tom Petty, Chet Atkins, John Mellencamp, etc., were always being played.”

Sarah’s big voice, haunting chords, and heartfelt words, best describe her performance. Though Sarah's music is a mixture of visions, emotions, and classic influences, its profound rock tales are melodic and brutally honest. Honest enough to raise tiny, prickly goose bumps during the process.

Sarah started performing with her father’s band in bars and clubs when she was 12 years old. As a special guest, she sang classic rock covers (such as Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks, The Animals and Lucinda Williams), along with some of her own earlier originals. She sometimes played guitar with them. Sarah's performed in various bands and theatrical events over the years. When in High School, she was trained in opera and performed in NY State's, All-State Choir Festival her junior and senior years. When Sarah turned 18, she set out on her own musical journey (along with a five year college career), writing more mature pop-rock songs and playing all over locally, solo and with bands. In 2002, Sarah recorded her first demo album, Feed Your Head, with guitarist, Wayne Grassfield, bassist Charles Atkins, and Todd Broomhead on drums. In 2004, Sarah recorded The Giving Tree EP, and its release was February 12, 2005. A packed CD Party followed at the Sugar Loaf "Terrapin" Station, celebrating with friends, family, and fans.

Sarah hosts a fun acoustic open mic every Wednesday @ Big Dave's BBQ in Goshen, NY, 7-9:30pm. She is working on her new album and collaborating with different musicians, including an all-girl band project with Brianna Jenkins.
