Sarah has sung pretty much ever since she could babble her first words, making up her own baby songs about the wonders of such things as toothbrushes and days out to the beach, and incorporating music and singing into basically every childhood game she played.

Her musical voyage began when she would play a keyboard which once belonged to her father, before she could even so much as talk or walk. The camera never lies and she was captured bashing her baby-fists on the keys along to the pre-programmed beats. The spooky part, however, was that parts among her debut composition were actually in time and in key…

Teaching herself to play the keyboard starting around the age of 7, she played songs by ear, surprising her parents by the fact that she could work out the melody to pretty much anything without the aid of such things as sheet music.

Hanging out in record-stores for most of her youth, the first CD she bought was a Blink 182 album, which inspired her to take up the drums at just 11 years old, playing and gigging in various punk rock bands in the local area. During this time, she was given an old electric guitar and taught herself the basic chords.

The turning point for Sarah came when a U2 song was played to her at school aged 12, instantaneously falling in love with their music and ditching the drumsticks in favour for her brand new, shiny acoustic guitar. The band remains her biggest inspiration to this day.

At 13 was her first acoustic gig, singing Green Day covers and the first song which she wrote called 'I Don't Need You', which went down a storm and, to use an overrated cliché, she was bitten by the stage-bug, only happy when in the limelight.

Leaving the punk rock scene for the country music genre was due to her mum suggesting that she learn a country song to sing at a family get-together, leading her to discover Taylor Swift and ultimately, to experiment further with her music and song writing. Her Irish roots also influenced her to pick up the tin whistle found in the back of a cupboard, which she was given as a present years back, again opening up more doors onto the infinite spectrum of music…

Sarah has just completed her first album with Dave Percefull, producer at Yellow Dog Studios in Austin, Texas, titled 'The Last Train Home' and is looking forward to a future full of music.
