Sarah Davison comes from a family cattle farm in Southwestern Iowa and her roots run deep in country music. Being raised in such a supportive rural community created the foundation for her becoming who she is today. She would memorize old country standards when riding in the tractor with her Dad, and she soon became attached to the old upright piano sitting in their living room. She began performing, singing and playing by ear at the age of 4 and soon started making appearances at local oprys and music venues. Starting classical lessons at 9 years old, she found it difficult to play pieces the same way twice and not add anything to the tunes, however, she studied classical piano until she was 19 and made the move to Belmont University. She graduated in 2006 with a degree in Commercial Piano Performance and Music Business, and soon after had the privilege of interning at Universal Music Group Nashville in the Radio Promotions Department and then working at the Erv Woolsey Company. She has won numerous awards including the National Traditional Country Music Association's Female Vocalist four times, National Traditional Country Music Association's Honky-Tonk Piano four times, and placed third in the World Ragtime Piano Championship. Sarah has also been a featured performer at the Iowa State Fair, Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri, and is currently a part of Cowboy Church. Sarah has shared the stage with Patsy Montana, Margo Smith, Senator Lamar Alexander, Suzy Bogguss, George Jones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Chris Young, Colin Raye, Big and Rich, Neil McCoy, Ed Bruce, and Chely Wright. She was recently inducted into the National Traditional Country Music Association's Hall of Fame, becoming its youngest member. Currently, Sarah works at Springbarrel Songwriting and Publishing right on Music Row in Nashville and also plays piano and sings on the road with CURB Recording Artists, Cowboy Crush and Nine North Recording Artists The Roys. Her future plans include going on the road with major country artists, doing studio work for major albums, and teaching music at a university someday. She spends a lot of her time at Grace Baptist Church, outside of Nashville, where she is on staff in the music and youth department. She also aspires to open a service that features country cooking and homemade pies several years down the road.
