"The voice of an angel" is a phrase often bandied about but in the case of this young lady holds a particular resonance.
Sarah was born in Dublin, Ireland in late 1987. From a young age, Sarah has had a wide and varied interest in a broad range of musical genres. Sarah loved to sing but lacked confidence, so at the age of sixteen she decided to attend Walton's school of music for singing lessons to help with this. It wasn't long before Sarah realised she had a naturally classical voice (Coloratura/lyric soprano).
After attending Walton's for a number of months it was recommended to Sarah that she audition for the legendry Dr. Veronica Dunne. Dr Dunne immediately accepted her as a student. Sarah is currently studying with Sylvia O Reegan at the Royal Academy of Music in Dublin where Sarah is currently studying for a degree in music performance.
Although she loves the classical and operatic genres, her melting pot of influences encompasses an eclectic taste. Cobain, Bowie and Strummer sit alongside Bach Mozart and Brahms in the Bass household. It was this eclectic interest in music that prompted Sarah to explore the idea of classically interpreting some of the more contemporary classics. Therein lies the theme of her debut single. Sarah collaborated with P.J. Roycroft and Step records and this union culminated in the release of her debut single "Life On Mars" by David Bowie.
