I’m Santana Ondina, from the small town of Elkford B.C. I learned to play guitar from my brother, Chris when I was around 14 years old. To stray from negative influences in my town, I kept busy by playing and writing music. Through my awkward teen years, and bumps in the road, I put everything that I had into music. After playing a few small shows, and proving to my peers that I was more than an athlete, I began recording. From my room a recorded a demo that sold over 30 copies! Upon completing high school, I moved to Lethbridge to pursue my post secondary education. With school as my focus but music still my heart, I began connecting with local musicians. Soon I found myself playing in a band, and playing shows around the city. After the breakup of The Awesomes, a fellow band mate and I formed Post.Script and we continued or live performances. After playing many shows in Lethbridge Post.Script began to lose touch. I experienced a short hiatus over the summer of 2007, but when fall came I was back to being a solo artist, and collaborating with my brother when possible. Since then I’ve played in larger shows, and helped organize benefit gigs. Recently I’ve found myself in Edmonton where I’m continuing my post secondary education. My heart hasn’t changed and music is still my passion. I will continue to write music, and share it with whoever will listen.
