Omar beaz cintron aka “Dj Omar,” the most iconic kid in the young history of reggaeton music, was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He was raised with his 4 older sisters, zulieka ,ivy , vanessa and damaris, in the south of reading housing project, in the southern city of reading. There he went to school and studied during a semester at the p.s.o.m (Public School of Music) — it was evident then that omar had the gift of rhythm and prose & dj skill. DJ Omar parents divorced when he was four years old, and for the next decade omar straddled Puerto Rico and New York City, living alternately with his mother and his father’s mother. The colliding influence of these two worlds congealed in 2004, when at age 15, omar started to flow the reality of the streets over deliriously percussive Hip Hop beats. omar moved to reading, Pennsylvania when he was 15 rolling with doomz, savi ” melvin various street gangs, while perfecting a unique blend of Reggaeton and Hip Hop.
