Sandy Cruz was born in Queens, NY were he was raised by his parents who came from the Dominican Republic in search of a better life. While working very long hours, Sandy's parents still found time to do things with the family. Whether it was going out to dinner or seeing a movie one event would stand out above all. At just 5 years old, Sandy's mother took him to a concert at Madison Square Garden. At this very young age Sandy knew what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. He wanted to be a stage performer.



Sandy's first break came on working on a group called La Tribu which music consisted of spanish rap. Although things didn't go as planned with La Tribu he was able to get an opportunity to work with Gloria Estafan in 1998 on her album Gloria! doing backgrounds for "Lucky Girl".



Nowadays, Sandy produces, writes and sings his own music. Sandy's taste in music is an assortment of genre's. He gets his influence from artist such as Marc Anthony, Camilo Sesto, Fernandito Villalona, Juanes, Chayanne, Christian Castro, Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, Diddy, Michael Jackson, Eminem,Timbaland, Rob Thomas and so on. This diverse set of artist helps him come up with his style of music.
