Samantha Cathcart is a self-taught, extremely independent, and wonderfully talented singer/songwriter. She wrote her first song winter of 06'/07', and has since then been writing and showcasing her music all over the country. She signed on with 5 Stone Productions, a record label based out of Southern California, June of 07', and had her first album, 'Devils Water' finished by the end of the month. After that, she packed up her bags and moved to the great city of Chicago with a couple of friends. She worked a lot of random jobs, and within the first year of living there, had begun to create a stir within the music scene.

Recently, Samantha Cathcart has teamed up with Canada's Sherri-Anne for several tours. The two muses have spread their powerful, honest music throughout the continent, playing at some of LA's, Vancouver's & San Francisco's most well-known music clubs including Cat Club, Railway Club and Hotel Utah respectively. They have also performed at festivals, wineries and a variety of other venues throughout Canada and the U.S.A, often in support of non-profit organizations in need. The duo has now collaberated to form their new music project, "Sister Speak," fronted by both artists, and often backed by an astounding rhythm section. Sister Speak combines elements of Acoustic Rock, Blues & Funk, and takes the talents of each musician to another level."

Samantha can now be seen playing all sorts of stages and shows throughout the country. Her plans for the future consist of plenty of touring, collaboration with other musicians and artists, and a new "Sister Speak" album within the next year.

Her music can be found on Itunes, Cdbaby, Amazon and any other online music carrier.
