Dark, handsome and sun chiseled, with an accent you only hear from those Latin stars in the movies, this Spanish speaking songwriter-singer is an enigma.



Inspired by his travels around the world, he spends his time collecting stories wherever he lays his boots down…from the ancient streets in South America where senoritas roam wild and free to the bustling and sophisticated nightclubs in Miami and New York, Xavier takes his guitar everywhere and finds inspiration in what he sees; his deep spiritual nature reads your soul like a map and the way he whispers those sultry Latin words needs no translation.



Xaviers life is a remarkable story in itself. Raised in the mystical land of Peru, his passion for composing and performing started quiet early, “Living among such culture, history and political turmoil… it wasn’t hard to be inspired”.



A graduate in Economics he presented his parents with the 2 Economics degrees they aspired to and decided to leave that life behind to do what he felt was his calling, “I had fate to follow. Music chose me and I knew I couldn’t fight against my destiny”.



Having studied Flamenco in Spain and performed in some of London’s best Live music bars (he swears having performed with Chris Martin from Coldplay), he decided it was time to search for a new adventure in his home country. In 2002 while traveling through Peru, he met Pepe Ortega, one of the country’s most famous producers (of Grammy-Award winner Gianmarco fame) and together they created his first album, “Ser Así” (To Be Me). After a few TV performances coupled with radio airplay, the first official Xavier Saer Fan Club was formed and all copies of the album were quickly exhausted. Xavier Saer was so popular, the pirated version of his CD was found everywhere.



An invitation to perform for a Saudi Arabian Prince in the Seychelles brought him back to Africa and those wild and unforgettable adventures ended up in his second album, self titled “Saer”. The record launch of “Saer” stands as one of the most successful nights at the Blues Room in Johannesburg, breaking all attendance records. Again, copies of his production were soon exhausted as his name was rapidly being spread as a top performer in South Africa.



During a performance at an upmarket nightclub, the vice-president of Creative Kingdom Records USA, who was amongst the audience, approached him. A week later they had signed an International Record Deal. Three years later he decided it was time again to control his career by himself and went solo. His third release “Passport to Life” is a testimony of his fiercely independent and creative spirit.



Following National airplay with his single “Crazy” local and International media took on the Xavier Saer brand. Italian beer company Peroni used his suave Latin looks for their TV ad and many marketing activations. International magazine Cleo made him their 2nd edition Centerfold and two US magazines, Women’s Weekly and Bachelor, featured him as one of the most coveted International Bachelors in the worldwide music scene. In 2007, he signed a record deal with NYC based company ELI Records for a music single to be released in the United States. The same year, Universal Music Publishing foresaw his immense hit writing ability and signed to a 3 year Worldwide Publishing deal. Hit producer and International acclaimed songwriter Dennis East (whose records have sold over a million copies in South Africa alone) also saw his wide-market appeal and offered to record his album at no expense. His words were “I believe in you”.
