Sacrifice started back in 1985 in Toronto, Canada, with Rob Urbinati (vocals, guitar),

Joe Rico (guitar), Scott Watts (bass) and Gus Pynn on drums.

Their major influences was bands as Black Sabbath, Metallica, Thin Lizzy and Slayer.

After the releases of their first two albums Torment in Fire ('85) and Forward to Termination ('87) on the Toronto label Fringe, Sacrifice got more grown and experienced.

The next album Soldiers of Misfortune ('91) was still old school thrash with the band's former heaviness, but without the occultic lyrics and the brutal imagery.

Shortly after it's release, disputes and quarrels came up between Gus and the other guys and he jumped off the whole train and got replaced by Michael Rosenthal.

A tour with Monster Voodoo Machine opening for them was done and the door to success was now unlocked as more fans bought their records and attended their shows.

In 1993 Apocalypse Inside was put out on MetalBlade records. This was the album that should bring Sacrifice the stardom and fortune only a few bands deserve. It's excellent in all ways!!!

They sure got some new audience, but somehow the band retained underground. God knows why. Scott now left the group and Kevin Wimberley was the new bassplayer to fit in the quartet.

Unfortunately his career didn't last very long because a split took hold in early '94, after touring in Nothern America with Death and Gorefest.

Nowadays Rob and Kevin are in Interzone, Mike is playing with Hunnytruck.

Joe has moved down to Detroit and formed a hardcore act entitled Trust Denied.
