Having arduously been working at Chango Studios in Orlando for the past seven months Ryan is recently released her debut six song EP “The Light and the Line.”

Ryan Joy, born in Tampa Florida has been around music her whole life. Growing up she was surrounded by music. Her mother an avid music aficionado exposed Ryan at a young age to all the classics such as Kiss, Motley Crue, Aerosmith, Barbara Streisand and Guns & Roses. Ryan utilizes her life experiences to tell the listener a tale of a talented singer, songwriter and performer. With the loving support of her family Ryan started taking vocal lessons around the age of ten wanting to be like one rockstars her Mom started exposing her to at a young age. Over the past several years Ryan has performed over fifty times across the country with the likes of The All-American Rejects, Kelly Clarkson, Lights Resolve and Shanghai Thrills. At the age of twelve she was sought out and hired as a dancer and host on Club TV which is a Florida style MTV show. She moved to Orlando at the age of nineteen because of the countless opportunities at her fingertips. Since moving, doors have opened for her career along with an edgier sound being molded by Cameron Mizzell of Last Winter and Brock Berryhill of The Murphy Project. In January of 2007 one of Ryan’s songs was featured on the popular television show Degrassi. In December of 2007 Ryan was the featured musical artist on Hurley’s company website. Ryan is also scheduled to appear in an upcoming issue of Maxim magazine. “Rock music is the one thing which keeps me going on a daily basis” Ryan says. Her new tunes are sure to catch your attention.

Ryan Joy has expanded her knowledge over the past year by working and collaborating with some of Central Florida’s best singers and songwriters and signing on with Matt Cohen of Boston based Sidehatch Entertainment. She recently exited the studio where she has been holed up for the past several months having worked with Cameron Mizell (vocalist of Lifeforce recording artist Last Winter) and Brock Berryhill (The Murphy Project). Ryan hopes her debut “The Light and the Line” is the rock masterpiece she has envisioned in her head since her childhood. “Think Joan Jett meets Paramore” the very outgoing Ryan Joy says aloud, “Its going to flat out rock!”
