A Little About Ryan.

Ryan Hanlin grew up the youngest of two children in Blue Springs, Missouri. The son of a veteran high school basketball coach and a homemaker. When not hanging out with his dad in the gym, Ryan spent a lot of time with his grandfather. Some of his fondest memories are listening to the likes of George Jones, Buck Owens, and Keith Whitley in Grandpa's wood shop. Ryan's interest in music blossomed after high school. He would find himself thinking about music and writing songs when trying to study for college classes. By the Mid 90's he had formed his band, Ryan Hanlin & Higher Ground, and had developed a following while touring the Midwest. His association with Kansas City country radio station Q104 enabled him to open for many established country artists. It is quite obvious that on stage sharing his music is where he belongs. Ryan moved to Nashville in 2004 and soon landed a publishing deal. Ryan shares many co-writes with some of Nashville premier songwriters, such as: Shawn Camp who has written "Would You Go With Me" & "Fire Cracker" by Josh Turner; Phillip White who has written "I'm A Survivor" by Reba McEntire & "I'm Movin On" by Rascal Flatts; Marty Dodson who has written "Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven by Kenny Chesney & "Must Be Doin Something Right" by Billy Currington; and Mark Nesler who has written "Livin And Livin Well" by George Strait & "You Look Good In My Shirt" by Keith Urban. Ryan's recent recordings were produced by Mark Miller of Sawyer Brown. Ryan currently resides in Blue Springs, Missouri with his 3 year old son Trevor.
