Recent polls show that Americans, as a whole, are becoming more and more focused on spirituality. The recent success of films such as "The Passion Of The Christ" and "The Chronicles of Narnia" as well as the popularity of best-selling books such as "Your Best Life Now" and "The Purpose-Driven Life" seem to concur with these statistics. New Orleans-native Ryan Post believes he knows why. "The one thing that every human being has in common is that we are all in search of a sense of purpose, even people who wouldn't normally classify themselves as very spiritual. Everyone constantly deals with the questions Why am I here? and What am I here for?" Post, at the age of 27, believes that he has found his purpose.

"There is nothing in the world I'd rather be doing than helping this new generation discover why they were created and what makes them unique" says Post.

Recently, he has found a way to make a difference in peoples' lives.through music. Having been raised in southern Louisiana, from an early age Post developed a deep appreciation for the rich musical culture around him. He first picked up a guitar at the age of 14 and began practicing on a daily basis. For the next several years he developed his musical talent by playing every week at his local church in Boutte, Louisiana. Post also began experimenting with songwriting and recording. "Ever since I could play music, I've always had a strong desire to write and compose music that I would personally enjoy listening to," says Post, "Yet, as a teenager, I discovered that to be a bigger challenge than I realized at the time."

It was during his college years that Post really began to refine himself as a musician and songwriter. Inspired by many distinct musical styles such as blues, jazz, r&b, acoustic pop, and classic rock, he started to carve out his own unique musical niche. "I started by taking an hour each day and devoting that time to stretching my songwriting and playing ability. Some days it was frustrating because it took a lot of hard work. But there were also days when everything seemed to click. Some of my favorite songs are songs that only took a couple hours to write, as if God Himself were guiding the whole process."

Post also believes in writing songs that appeal to the spiritual side of man. While the lyrics of most modern pop songs tend to focus on subjects such as money, sex, and romance, Post chooses to focus on topics such as purpose, unconditional love, and eternity. "I've decided to write lyrics about issues that hold significance beyond life and death, because those are the issues that I believe matter the most. In our culture, money, sex, and power are placed on a pedestal. But the reality is, at the end of your life, you can't take any of that with you. I try to write songs about issues that have eternal significance."

After releasing his first full-length CD ("Nola") in November 2006, his first release, Post's music has started to catch a lot of attention in Louisiana and Texas. His songs "One Good Reason" and "The Man In The Mirror" are in daily rotation at KAJN 102.9 FM in Lafayette, LA. In February 2006, he teamed up with local artists Rusty & Jessica for "A Night Of Worship," a concert that drew over 1,000 people from all over southern Louisiana. In May 2006, he played in front of a crowd of over 7,000 people at "Just For Jesus" in the Lake Charles Civic Center. Today, Post's music is currently being played by numerous Christian radio stations across Texas, Louisiana, and several other states. Post also travels every weekend and ministers in churches through music and preaching. "Iit's amazing to see God opening doors and making things happen. I don't know where it will lead, but I'm just excited to be able to contribute to His kingdom."
