Russ Tafari

Russ Tafari is a new breed of rap artist that has been perfecting his craft since the late 90's. In the beginning he performed with two groups called The Kutthroat Krew (1997-2000) and The Madd Kuttaz (1999-2001). The Kuttroat Krew released one album independently called "Amsterdam or Bust" that is now extremely rare. From the years 2000 to 2004 Russ Tafari was recording as a solo artist and making beats. It wasn't until late 2005 that he met a rap artist who went by the name Insiniak that he thought of putting another group together. The two of them created a horrorcore group called The Burning Legion also known as TBL (2005-2008). Over the years TBL added 3 members, recorded 3 albums worth of songs, and played many shows. Russ Tafari also started another group called Slim & Thick (2007-2008) that was plain and simple dirty sex music. In 2010 he moved to Los Angeles and walked over 800 miles of it before catching a bus the rest of the way. Now he is networking heavily in LA and working on a psychedelic electronic project called PF TeKnition and a Russ Tafari solo album. Stay Tuned!
