Runecaster

Runecaster are a Celtic folk metal band who hail from Ulster on Irelands fair shores. Mixing normal heavy metal and traditional Irish folk instrumentation Runecaster stand out from any other band in this genre with their totally unique sound.



It began in the fall of 2001, over the next few years the band played several gigs around Northern Ireland and released several records including Dethwatch (2002) Back To The Edge (2003) Joyful Sorrow (2004) before finding their true folk metal sound with records Folkishly Fiendish (2004) and the highly anticipated follow up When Mortal Spirits Fall (2005)



Recently Runecaster have appeared live with bands like Skyforger, Ensiferum and Suidakra.
