What do you know about sleeping in a white Yukon on the mean streets of NYC just to get a record deal? Well Rukapuff does. The 27 year old MC from Saint Louis, Missouri understands the definition of Grind, and emotional roller coaster performances to bring to the world By-polar swing!

It all began when Puff was young dude raised by his mother, a college graduate, and his father, a part time super dad and street hustler. Puff has seen everything growing up. His musical influences came from watching entertainers on TV such as Michael Jackson, RUN-DMC, N.W.A, Aerosmith, and Leaders of the new school. In the early part of Puff’s life the only things that were important were video games, football and rap. One day, Puff’s house was kicked in by the ATF (police task force). Puff’s father had a possibility to go to prison. Everything in Puff’s life changed for the worst after that. His whole family was homeless and had to stay with his grandparents. Puff felt like he had to step up and help take care of his family. Puff took up the family trait (as it seemed) and started hustling whatever he could get his hands on. A year later Puff’s best friend was shot and killed at a nightclub. That woke Puff up to put more energy into something positive, like music.

Rukapuff built a name fast in STL, winning battles everywhere. With the birth of his first daughter, he was ready to go hard with music. “I have been doing music all my life from dancing to singing to rapping with my first group P.O.G, but when my first solo single created such a gigantic buzz in STL, I knew I was ready.

In 2006 West Coast legend, Mack 10, signed Ruka to his label, Hoo- Bangin, after seeing him perform at a club in St. Louis. The rapper bought two of Ruka’s songs even one for using for his first single, “Like This” with Nate Dogg. The song was a product placement phenomenon! It was used for NFL games, movies ( Waist Deep starring Tyrese), The Soprano’s, and tons of other TV and radio commercials.

Rukapuff’s music has also been featured in other areas of the entertainment field as well. Puff had the official World Series championship song and video for the St. Louis Cardinals. “Brimmy” debuted on Fox Sports Midwest during the Cardinals pennant run. The staff at Fox were so pleased with the first project they asked Ruka to do another song and video for the Indiana Pacers home games.

Currently Rukapuff is a household name in the Midwest just awaiting his turn to breakthrough worldwide. Ruka is definitely one of the most diverse and complete artist in the game today. Look out for “Grind or Die”, a film series written and produced by Rukapuff, and the adult movie, “Phatty’s Rhymes and Dimes part 5”.

This promoter, entertainer, songwriter, humanitarian, and parent is a mogul in the making and is the definition of grind. Some critics say he has one the best stage shows ever seen… you be the judge!
