Royal Paris Narvalo

Jeudi, une bande de narvalos partent en voyage pour faire le tour de l'Europe. Ils s'arrêtent finalement quelques heures après leur départ à la station Mairie de St Ouen. Hum, pas très fiers ils regagnent leurs maisons à pieds mais se promettent de faire à partir de ce jour de la manoucherie avec de la croonerie funky dedans.

Ah, si, des fois ils vont à Perpignan, mais là ils se font appeler Royal Paris Perpignan, et imitent l'accent du coin. C'est des malins. Parfois même, ils vont jusqu'à Bruxelles. Là, ils sont les Royal Ketje Narvalo. Ils n'ont pas leur pareil pour prendre le fier accent de la frite et de la caricole au celeri. Ils projettent d'aller jouer dans les rues de New-York. Ca les fait rêver. Mais cette fois ils seront les Paris Narvalo, parce qu'on leur a dit que là-bas ça faisait exotique.

On thursday, a band of so called narvalos left Paris on their way to a tour around Europe. They finally got stucked a few hours later at the subway station "Mairie de St Ouen". Hummm, not very proud they went back home by feet and promised themselves to play from that day on gypsy swing music heavily mixed with funky croonery only. Well yes, sometimes they go down south to Perpignan on the spanish border, where they call themselves after the name "Royal Paris Perpignan" and pretend they are natives of the area by imitating the local slang. They are not dummy. Sometimes they even go to Bruxelles! Then they are the "Royal Ketje Narvalo"! Man, they are so good at imitating the proud accent of the "french fries" and celery-snails capital. They want to go and play in New York streets. They dream about it. In that case, they will be "Paris Narvalos" because they have been told that over the Atlantic, it sounds so much exotic.



Le père de Franck est manouche et chanteur, des fois il sortait des mauvais gars par la fenêtre des bars. La mère de Franck est danseuse classique. Franck est mince et grand, il a failli être danseuse.

Le père de Ludovic est peintre et belge. Quand Ludovic était petit, il l'emmenait le samedi écouter Mondine et Ninine à la chope des puces. Le soir il mettait Grappelli et Django sur le tourne-disque. La mère de Ludovic est musicienne. Elle mettait Prokofiev et Barbara sur le tourne-disque. Ludovic a failli être chanteuse.

Le père de Boris est sociologue et juif polonais. Il emmenait Boris avec lui dans ses voyages en Ukraine. La mère de Boris milite pour les femmes. Elle l'emmenait à ses réunions quand il était petit. Boris a failli être une femme.

Franck's father is gypsy and a singer, sometimes he would kick bad guys through the windows in bars. Franck's mother is a classical dancer. Franck is thin and tall. She could have been a dancer. Ludovic's father is a painter and originates from Belgium. When Ludovic was a child, his father used to take him to "la chope des puces"on Saturdays to listen to great gypsy guitarists Mondine and Ninine. Ludovic's mother is musician.
