A young man with incredible talent… At his young age he has gone through more pain and trouble than what most people experience in a whole lifetime. His parents immigrated from Mexico in a search for a better future and found themselves homeless with no money in the rugged streets of southern California. In a place where you have to fend for yourself his father quickly learned the do’ s and don’ts of the streets and passed the knowledge down to his three sons. In the mist of all his surrounding he discovered a movement called hip-hop; a way children in his community expressed themselves through various forms of this art such as, DJ, graffiti, emceeing, and break dancing. He tried all of them and found himself most comfortable as a rapper. His way of words and the way he delivers his lyrics are compared to some of today’s top ranking emcees. He uses his troubled past that is full of drugs and alcohol addiction, gang affiliation, death, and an extensive criminal record as fuel to keep going with his music. Fast forward to the present day and you can find Roy in the infamous city of Caldwell Id (a.k.a. COLDWATER). Where he co-found One Time Entertainment with his rap partner LOU XL. Here he is considered a pioneer in the local rap scene; respected and supported by the streets he feels the responsibility to put his city on the map. He’s talent and ability to control a crowd has landed him work with some big names in today’s hip-hop scene (CHINGO BLING, SHADOW, TECH N9NE, NB RIDERS, LUCKY LUCIANO, G-UNIT and TWISTA) and has been featured in many underground mix tapes (POP TRUNK MIXTAPE VOL1, DJ LATIN FUSION MIXTAPE, and THE COMPILATION) to name a few. He’s currently working on a solo project entitled ON MY GRIND as well as an album with his rap partner LOU XL entitled TWO OF THE MOST, which are both due out later this year. Balancing fatherhood and his music Roy has had a lot of support from his wife, family, and friends. Although life hasn’t always been fair or good to him he thanks god for the experiences that has taught him faith and humbleness; which have helped him over come most of his obstacles.
