Partly from the island of Martinique, and partly from French Guyana, the artist Jean-Luc Rosier made his mark on the Zouk music scene in 1997 with his solo album titled "Acte Deux". The hit song "Tempèt Kreol" instantly gave him a place among his peers and in the hearts of his fans. In the same year, together with a group of young talents, he creates a new concept titled Karbonn'. This album finds phenomenal success with the notorious hit song "Prends ton Temps" known for its famous lines "Doucement.vas-y doucement."
In 1999, Jean-Luc strikes again, this time in collaboration with his fellow artist Jacky Rapon, on yet a new concept entitled "Double Effet". This album earned him high rankings in the Zouk Music Industry, especially with such hit songs as "Mwen Lov Li" and "One More Time", commonly known as "Je Veux T'aimer One More Time".
The year is 2001, and Jean-Luc surrounds himself with his friends, such as Phil Control, Harry Diboula, Jacky Rapon, Laura Beaudy, Joel Zabulon, Chris Lovard, among others, to work on a Karbonn' All Stars version of his earlier Karbonn' concept. Two hit songs are born as a result. "Daureen", a duo between Jean-Luc and Chris Lovard, as well as "Fallait Pas" sang by Jacky Rapon.
2004 is the year of a new solo album "Tout Seul" and this time "Shaleena" is voted the hit song by his audience. The solo album "Maux Croises" follows immediately in 2005, but not without a hit song, namely, "Un Week-end au Soir".
But Jean-Luc does not believe in taking too long of a break. In 2006, he delivers the second Karbonn' All Stars album, with the participation of numerous talents like Patrick Benoit, Willy Ververt, Laura Beaudy, and Emile Naroyanin. "Ma Dernière Balise" sang by Jean-Luc himself is the hit song on this album.
In 2008, his third solo album, self-titled "Jean-Luc Rosier" invades the stores. This album is produced entirely by the talented music producer Steeve Pierre-Louis, better known as Steevy. Together with his team, Jean-Luc simply offers a whole new facade of his music to his audience. His ingenuity reveals an eklectic blend of music notes, topics and sentiments. "Elisa", an overnight hit among his fans in Europe, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Haiti, Florida., "Elle S'en est Allée", also very popular with the fans, and "Ton Fils", simply put, a "Jewel" of a song, in honor of his mother, are all found on this album.
Alongside the artist Jacky Rapon, and the music producer Steeve Pierre-Louis, in 2009, Jean-Luc comes back full circle with a second "Double Effet" album One that is as promising as all of his work.
Jean-Luc Rosier is undeniably a name, a talent, architect, an artist going far, very far.and taking us along with him!
