In 2003, the dream of creating a melodic metal band that would transcend all
musical boundaries was realized. Rosenguard began to write a collection of songs which would define human emotion and experience from their point of view. After several demos and one E.P., the band reached a defining moment in the release of their album, "Requiem For The Innocent", in 2007.
In 2008 the band reached another milestone in it's career after being asked to join the lineup of the West Coast leg of the "Bound By The Road Tour", featuring Instinct of Agression, Straight Line Stitch, the reunited SNOT, and Devildriver.
Now, in 2010, the band has exceeded all expectations by releasing it’s debut music video, “Worlds Away”. The video, already making waves around the United States, features a remixed version of the popular song mixed by Scott Creekmore of the
legendary death metal group Broken Hope.
Rosenguard's current lineup includes an eclectic mix of musicians from all over the world. Hailing from across eastern Europe to the Midwest and southern United States, the members of Rosenguard remain unpredictable and never generic with their unique brand of melodic metal!
“Rosenguard’s European dark metal roots show on Requiem For The Innocent, a militaristic but virtuosic study of power metal peaks and gothic valleys. Shoveling dirt on the title track’s power metal triumph, Rosenguard alternate clean vox with guttural, channeling the grit of Novembers Doom on a painful day.”
(Illinois Entertainer)
“…the band has done a commendable job keeping its songwriting lively and diverse and builds upon the highlighting foundation of Nenad Lazic’s bass-work.”
(The Gauntlet)
“It seems that just about every band coming up through the Myspace music scene is a metal band of some sort. There are good bands, decent bands, terrible bands, and then there are bands like Rosenguard. Fortunately for Rosenguard, they’re in an elite group playing with very few worthwhile peers.”
(Indie Noise)
“The great musicianship and chemistry of the band made for an evening full of headbanging and moshing, to the delight of the crowd.”
(Moraine Valley College)
