Keron "Kabaka Pyramid" Salmon is not only a multi-talented artist, but also a producer and sound engineer. Growing up in the island of Jamaica, where reggae music is the dominant genre, K. Pyramid was influenced heavily by the sounds of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Sizzla, Capleton, and many more. Over the years, though, he developed a deep appreciation for the lyrical capacity and positive messages he was receiving from the Hip Hop scene. Groups and artists like Wu-tang Clan, The Roots, Blackstarr, Canibus, Nas, and Common could be heard on his disc-man or home radio quite often. In 2002 he made the decision to let his voice be heard. Joining up with high school colleagues, he became a member of the prestigeous group Bebble Team. Determined to show his ability and will to please both local and foriegn audiences, Kabaka chose to express both of his styles - Dj-ing, and Rapping.

After a few underground albums and also changing his stage name (from Ras K.A.S. to Ronny P Clarkes, to Ronny Pyramid/Ine Kabaka), and gaining popularity in some circles as a reggae artist, and some as a Hip Hop "MC," he decided that he would unify the two "personalities" into one hybrid artist. Kabaka, from the reggae side, was brought together with Pyramid, from the Hip Hop side. Today he is known as "Kabaka Pyramid."

Spiritually Kabaka was influenced to a great extent by Rastafarian Philosophy, which saw him make a swift transition into a vegan lifestyle. His search for Truth lead him to the teachings of Ancient Kemet (called Egypt today). These profound and highly sophisticated messages are some of what The Pyramid attempts to express to his fans. Without trying to bore them with too much information, he clouds his lessons with whitty metaphors and sharp similies - to keep the listener interested.

On the Hip Hop scene, the Pyramid made his first major break-through when was awarded a place on Dj Green Lantern's "Myspace Invasion" Mixtape in 2007. This was immediately followed by his own Mixtape "The Transition Vol 1" which received much critical acclaim by local and foriegn listeners. He re-united with his group Bebble Team, after the unsuspected death of close friend and group member Taiwo "Rap Brown" Mckenzie, to do an album livi-cated to the former member. The Hip-Hop album was called "Bebble Business", and was highly appreci-loved by local fans.

His first appearance on the Jamaican airwaves came in 2009, with reggae songs like "Never be the same," "Only The Strong Survive," and "Seek Knowledge," been given regular rotation by ZJ Rush on Zip FM. He also linked up with Rush and his Code Red Production team with a break-though appearance on their "Enemy Lines Riddim" - The song having the same title as the riddim.

Most recently he completed the long awaited Vol 2 to the Transition Mixtape, in which he raised the bar, not only of his own abilities, but on the standard of Hip Hop in Jamaica. His lyrical ability and deep spiritual messages are what he is most known for presenting on this project.
