Go on and check out the latest review by Vicente Zumel's of my album "Feels Like Blues to Me":
Roger Zuraw "Feels Like Blues To Me". BUENO. From Canada, folk singer Roger Zuraw delights us with his particular reading vision of blues that, sometimes reminds Bob Dylan or in other passages Lou Reed in the way he presents his project, where lyrics prevail over the musical conception. "Feels Like Blues To Me" reflects the personal intimistic thoughts of a poet who looks for self introspection but at the same time communication and complicity with the audience developing a calm hopeful musical speech, giving music to his thoughts on an hypnotic personal bluesy way. With this new cd Zuraw has done a step forward and becomes a new 'story teller' of sometimes simple and sometimes difficult but always marvelous daily life. GOOD.

2006 - 2007
Another year, another Tin Pan North. And me being on stage with some of Canada's best songwriters – one thrill after another! This past year has been a continuation of airplay in Canada, USA, and Europe. I've even received requests for my CD's from Argentina and Denmark. All of this makes this old geezer and crotchety ole coot hobbyist very happy.
2005 - 2006
Amazing! Amazing! Musically speaking, from a hobbyists perspective, it has been an amazing year for me. This all started with my performance at the last years Tin Pan North. Shortly thereafter came a phone call from David Wisdom, informing me that My Home Toronto would play on Pearls of Wisdom. My CD, Its Blues to Me was charted on CIUT not long after that. My listennership has stretched from Ontario to Connecticut to Barcelona thanks to Al Kirkaldy, Ian Angus, Willy Anderson, Gi Dussault and Vicente Zumel. Nothing like this has ever happened to my music, and if you think Im bragging, please be forgiving, because I am.

Check out what foremost Spanish Radio Blues enthusiast Vicente Zumel has to say about me from www.lahoradelblues.com:

Roger Zuraw It's Blues To Me. Self Production 2005. Intimistic, sometimes sad but at the same time pleasant, cool and sharp are some adjectives which could define a musical trend present in some blues, pop and world music forms included on this original cd. Singer, poet, song writer and guitar player Roger Zuraw gives us a very personal vision of all previous mentioned musical styles with a different own perspective. Roger has included on this cd a pair of good musicians and friends who have helped him on getting the cd published. Alex Radeff gives his personal keyboards and guitar touch plus vocal choir and final production, while James Hartley plays bass and guitar on Headboard Boogie. A particular unusual recording. Not recommended for orthodox blues fans.
