DESCRIPTION:
THE hunt for a new star on the midlands music scene has ended in heavy metal heaven for rockers Loveless Luck.

The Birmingham hard rock band won first prize in the 2012 Live Band of The Year competition at Bilston's Robin 2.

A judging panel of celebrity musicians and music business insiders chose the five-piece band at the competition's grand final on Sunday December 16, 2012

As he announced the results, grand final compare Colin Tippin, said: "There are no winners or losers, the competition is all about raising the profile of the participating bands and I think that has been achieved.

"There was a great sense of camaraderie between the three grand finalists, it was a great atmosphere and a great night."

The judging panel, which included singer Blaze Bayley, guitarist Simon Lees and Magnum's Mark Stanway, voted alternative band Occoeur into second place.

Loveless Luck have been together since 2010 and take their inspiration from bands like Guns n' Roses and Skid Row.

They are planning a debut album release early next year.
