Robin James Hurt

Robin James Hurt is an internationally acclaimed Scots/Irish guitarist, singer and composer/arranger; born in Belfast, reared in Scotland and resident in Dublin for many moons now.
Having spent 15 years playing guitar and mandolin with as the late great Ronnie Drew, Sinead O'Connor, Finbar Furey, Camille O'Sullivan and many others) to the uncharted, Robin finally found his own voice through his long-held passion for folk music. Regular solo performances quickly drew considerable interest at home and abroad.
Described memorably once as 'part troubadour, part troublemaker', Robin mixes fresh groundbreaking re-arrangements of lesser-spotted folksong with nifty original compositions.
Constantly on the road, he tours all corners and plays shows and festivals, big and small, anywhere and everywhere; performing solo and with a collective of like-minded fine musicians, the Band of Moonlight Love.
After appearing on many albums by other artists over the years, Robin has an EP and album already released under his own flag. A new album will be recorded and released in early 2011.stay tuned!
