Robert ToTeras is a film and television composer in Los Angeles. Currently Robert is the composer for Around the World in 80 Plates every Wednesday night on Bravo. The show is produced by Magical Elves production team, the same team responsible for Top Chef. Robert was also the composer for the TV show "Gigantic" produced by acclaimed TV producers Marti Noxon (Greys Anatomy, Mad Men, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Dawn Parouse Olmstead (Prison Break, Point Pleasant).
Robert grew up in Philadelphia where he spent most of his geeky youth worshiping at the varied alters of artists like Janes Addiction, Miles Davis, Beethoven and The Wu-Tang Clan. After sleeping through classes at Juilliard pre-college, Manhattan School of Music and Columbia University, Robert spent 5 years on the road as a singer-songwriter and guitar player.
Sometime afterwards there was a decidedly non-musical, two-year pit stop in Las Vegas where he worked with a professional blackjack card-counting team. During this little adventure, Robert was thrown out of some of the finest casinos in the western gambling world. Some of the exploits of the team Robert worked with can be found in Josh Axelrads highly acclaimed best-selling book Repeat until Rich.
Eventually sense prevailed, Robert moved to LA, gave up high-rollin and got back to music. Soon Robert was working for and alongside some of LAs biggest composers. He also took part in the Society of Composers and Lyricists Mentoring program, as well as the Slamdance Film Festival's 'On the Fly Films' program.

Robert recently scored the horror feature Kiss the Abyss, the suspense feature Forgotten Pills starring Larry Bishop (Kill Bill Vol. 2) and Christina Murphy (Danceflick), and the documentary feature World's Largest.
Robert's music has also been featured on the NBC show Minute to Win it, Showtime's Championship Boxing, the CBS action series The Unit and in the comedy feature film Kabluey starring Lisa Kudrow (Friends) and Conchata Ferrell (Two and a Half Men). His music as also been featured in the film Into the Blue 2 directed by Stephen Herek (Man of the House, Rock Star). Robert ToTeras has scored commercials for Major League Baseball and Verizon and has also done promos for CBS, ABC, FOX and TNT.
