2012 – Release of the album YO with Jazz Village / harmonia mundi.



2011 – Tours in Russia, the Caribbean, South Africa.
- Features on Gilles Peterson presents Havana Cultura Remix.



2010 – Release of the double album CD / DVD Live at Marciac (enja).



2009 – Release of the album Akokan (enja) which Roberto tours internationally until 2011.
– Coproduces and performs on the project Havana Cultura New Cuba Sound with Gilles Peterson (Brownswood Recordings). A second album will be released on 2011.



2008 – Records the album Gracias by Omara Portuondo (world village / harmonia mundi) which won a Latin GRAMMY.
2007 – Release of the album Zamazu (enja) and tours internationally.
Performs at the Jazz in Marciac festival with Bebo and Chucho Valdés and composition of the track Latin in Marciac which becomes festival's song.
2004 – 2005 – Coproduction and recording of the last album of Ibrahim Ferrer, Mi Sueño, released on 2007 by World Circuit.
2002 – International tour with Omara Portuondo.
2001 – Joins Ibrahim Ferrer's Orchestra, and plays more four hundred concerts all over the world.
- Third solo album, Elengo (Egrem).
2000 – Second solo album, No Limit, for the Japan label JVC.
– Production of the first album with the hip-hop group Obsesión, Un montón de cosas, by Egrem.
- Composition of the original band for the film Black, from the French director Pierre Maraval.
1999 – First solo album, Tiene que ver (Egrem).
1997 – Forms Temperamento with the saxophonist Javier Zalba (ex-Irakere) and the following year they publish their first album, En el comienzo, (Egrem).
1996 – First tour in Europe with the singer Augusto Enriquez.
1990 – First appearance at International Jazz Festival of Havana.
1983 – He begins to study piano.
