And so to the bio, which i've pretended has been written by someone else. To maintain this illusion, please pretend to be someone else when reading it.
Ready?Good, once upon a time.

Robboland is the creation of Rob Wheatley, a musician & writer who lives in Essex, in the UK.
Rob records from his home studio "Disgracelands", where as well as guitar, he covers bass, keyboards, vocals, loops, and anything else that doesn't sound like a Pineapple! Rob's approach to music is that 'anything goes'. His outright refusal to stay within one style, coupled with his reluctance to do anything he's told.ever, mean that Rob himself rarely has any idea what the current track is going to end up like, let alone the next one
.

Major breakthroughs for Robbo include:
Accidentally stumbling on a B.B.King concert on the tv, late one night, many years ago. Buying a 'Best of' album the next day & ordering an import 'History of American Blues' at the same time. EUREKA!!!!,
"The Rover" by Led Zep, first ROCKRIFF learnt, "Beatin' around the bush" AC/DCthe second, The Eighties, for being such a crap-house of a musical decade, (mostly), forcing Rob to write his own music so he had something to listen to. His old musical partner Blaise, for the chord of A MINOR, His old musical partner, & fingerstyle guru, Tim Whitnell, for the nails, & showing just what is possible with one man & his guitar, BigBruv Tony, for constantly finding new things to listen to. Previous band's include Blaising Chaos, Toad, Treatment, Altogether Gone and Duck Unit.
Rob's taught both guitar and bass in the past, but has never been asked to give singing lessons
