Right Hook Records

Right Hook Records is an independent record label established to help artists navigate the ups and downs of the music industry. A philosophy of openness, honesty, and creativity allows RHR to give artists the attention and support they deserve.

     Danny Fonorow is a Greensboro native who has been an active member of the music community since his enrollment in the KISS army at age two. He has been singing, playing guitar and writing original music since childhood. His love of music led him to a fifteen-year career in independent record stores, as well as stints in radio sales and record promotion. His boundless knowledge of music, fused with his experience in the music industry, has led to the creation of Right Hook Records - a label that's, in his words, "all about artists helping artists."

     Jeremy Thomas (a.k.a. "Big Jerm") grew up around relatives - his dad and an uncle - who were involved in the music scene. Jeremy followed suit, getting into gigs and rehearsals at the age of five! He acquired his first drum kit at twelve and never looked back. Twenty years later, Jeremy holds a marketing degree from UNCG, serves as a drummer in several bands, teaches more than 40 drum students, and runs a successful recording studio. Now he's ready to step into the label side of the music industry with Right Hook Records.

     Danny and Jeremy played hundreds of shows with their band Stickboy, touring the East Coast, landing an indie deal, and cutting two albums. Whether playing audiences of 15 or 15,000, Stickboy always brought all they had to the stage. With their give-everything attitude, the band won endorsement deals with Budweiser, Jackson Drums, Germino Amps, Getto Gear and Dirtbag Clothing. When Stickboy started to fall out with their label, Danny and Jeremy vowed that that one day they would start a fair, artist-friendly label. Right Hook Records represents the realization of that vow.
