Hailed as the "Righteous Ambassador", he was recently awarded the JHMA 2008 “Rising Star” Award. His music message is diverse in range as it is in the reality of the human experience. It ranges from an indictment of societal ills and misdeeds in neglecting the plight of our poor and downtrodden; senseless ghetto wars and deaths of our vital youths; to positive messages in the upliftment of women; and embracing Rastafari love and truth in livety.

I Righteous is no newcomer to reggae music. He is the first grandson of the "Father of Reggae Music", the Legendary Joe Higgs. Joe Higgs helped to create reggae music and masterfully taught this music to some of Jamaica's most profound veteran artists including the King of Reggae, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, and Peter Tosh.
