Rick Whispers has been performing and recording music since about 14 years old. From punk rock to hardcore to rap music. From Albany New York a place with a diverse art scene and music scene, he became engrained in live music and began playing with some of his idols on the same stage. He has put out a total of seven albums which are all available anywhere digital music is sold worldwide. Touring with acts like Earth Crisis, Sworn enemy, Recon, Terror and Shai Hulud. He has performed with Wu tang clan, Boot Camp Click, Third Eye Blind, Moby, No Doubt, Gym Class heroes, 3oh3, Taking Back Sunday, The Acacia Strain, Busta Rhymes, Craig G of the juice crew. Recording tracks with artists like Mac Lethal , Life Long, Carnage, and Weerd Science he has been hard at work recording and releasing free singles on the internet and doing spot dates across the east coast to promote his new record Death in the Immediate Family which is available exclusively at www.rickwhispers.bandcamp.com
Side projects have also been a constant theme with Whispers to occupy any and all downtime to be as productive as possible. Body language is a group with Rick and Sev Statik of deepspace five and tunnel rats the record is called all up in yer grill piece and is a 14 track LP available for free download. Another project is called Terracotta Army done with Twig Courage (formerly xreign of terrorx) this record is currently in the making and features guest production from laze beak of doom tree and beats by Khil.
