Rich Creamy Paint

Rich and Mindy are a married couple deeply in love, who deeply love to write songs and create music and art together. They especially love to see people healed, restored, becoming fully alive through the beautiful role that music and the creative process can play. Formerly known as Rich Creamy Paint, Rich and Mindy released the first part of the trilogy “The Skyline, The Sea Foam, and The Swell” for free download off their website in the fall of 2009 on the tenth anniversary of Rich’s self titled album “Rich Creamy Paint” released on Hollywood Records. Rich Creamy Paint all started when Rich Painter began making multiple demo tapes of himself playing all the instruments in his garage until one of them caught the ear of his uncle and soon to be producer John Mark Painter. “Rich Creamy Paint” the self titled album was recorded and released on Hollywood Records in the fall of 1999 to rave reviews and included songs featured on MTV’s “The Real World” and “Road Rules” as well as the Disney Channel motion picture “Horse Sense”. Rich then hit the road for a nation wide tour with band members including now wife Mindy Painter on keyboards and background vocals. Performing with the likes of the Promise Ring, Men at Work, Fleming and John, Ben Folds, and Superdrag, RCP garnered devoted fans while maturing as musicians. Husband and wife duo Rich and Mindy then began concocting songs for the delicately endearing follow up album titled “Lovers” which was released independently in 2003 to critical acclaim. Fufkin.com announced that “Lovers” was “the most beautiful album of the year without a doubt". After winning the Disc Makers independent music contest for the Southeast, RCP made a quadruple split EP entitled “Rich Creamy Paint & Friends” in 2005 with other Nashville, TN friends The Foxymorons, Jetpack (now known as The Nobility), and Harper (now known as The Comfies). Rich and Mindy then moved to Jacksonville, FL and began writing and recording songs, which would later become their upcoming three-part trilogy “The Skyline, The Sea Foam, and The Swell”. See above…
