Bred in the coalfields of southwest Virginia and Buttered along the Blue Ridge Parkway of western North Carolina, this native of Big Stone Gap feels greatly Blessed to have finally come Home to the Roan.



Proud to be the Witness Protection Program Poster Child, rhodyjane lives by the Pontification of musical guru Briscoe Darlin': "Got time to Breathe, got time for Music." She FINALLY quit her day job as an overly-active nursing home Activities Director, for OBVIOUS reasons.

(Miss Mamie: "Just exactly what do you do around here?"

rhodyjane: "Now, Miss Mamie, you know I'm the Activities Director."

Miss Mamie: "Well, you're entirely too active!").

.and has hired on as a Cultural Interpreter (can anybody interpret that?!?) for

the Roan Mountain State Park, where she and Ellie hang out, spinning wool

and tales and tunes, and GET PAID FOR IT?!? (life is good).

rhodyjane manages to get in an oldtime lick or two claw-hammering on the Banjer and harping on the auty-harp (and other things of that nature) with "T.V. Barnett and his Roan Mountain Moonshiners" whilst indulging in writing songs and murder mysteries, EXCELLENT therapy.



Rumors of rhodyjane being raised by wolves are greatly exaggerated; it was actually possums.
