Los Reyes del KO are here with their powerfull show of strong blues jabs ,funky uppecuts and soul hooks to knock you out and make the audience dance until the bell rings!.
Los Reyes del Ko are Marcos Coll and Adrian Costa ,two young guys from Galicia,Spain ,that with their love and respect for the blues and black music have performed from Czech Republic , Austria and many more countries in Europe ,to Mexico and USA,sharing the stage with all time greats as Chuck Berry,Solomon Burke,John Mayall,Buddy Guy,The Animals,The Faboulous Thunderbirds etc etc,as well as playing in the most important blues venues as Buddy Guys Legends in Chicago or Terra Blues in New York
After meeting in elementary school in 1993 they deciced to form their first amateur "Blues Band".After many local gigs in clubs,bars,squatter houses or simply buskin in the street,Marcos decided to move to Madrid to try his luck in the city scene.
Doing all kinds of different jobs in the daytime and playing jam sessions at night,he received the call from the most popular blues band at that time,Tonky Blues band.This fact changed his live ,giving him a much more professional aproach.
It was two years full of concerts, and also touring with top musicians like the former Rolling Stones guitar player Mick Taylor until Adrian arrived in Madrid also joining the band ,first as a drummer,then as a bass player to finally end up with the guitar ,his natural instrument.
The highlight of thouse really intense years came when they toured and recorded with the legendary drummer and singer from the Jimmy Hendrix band of Gypsis Buddy Miles.It was a music and life lesson that changed their lives.
in 2002 they were ready to form their own band.
They hired the best rithym section in Madrid,Javier Vacas and Antonio Alvarez ,and two months later recorded their first album CollVs Costa produced by Ñaco Goñi, that won the award of best blues album of the year in Spain
The following years were very busy for the band playing in many blues and jazz festivals and even crossing over to the pop-rock market with performances in events as the famous spanish tv program Musica 1,beeing the first "Blues band"to appear.
After recording the album "Homemade Blues"they were invited to play at the Schmöltz blues fest ,giving them the oportunity to play in Germany for the first time.
In this country they got a great welcome,so they decided to settle down in Berlin.With the help of Michael Maas and especially Christian Rannenberg,(who two years later produced their Schallplaten Kritik nominated album "Hot Tin Roof"),they started to make a name for themselves in Germany as well as other european countrys, and also meeting other musicians like Guitar Crusher ,Angela Brown ,Eb Davis ,Tino Gonzales,Sugar Blue,Charlie Musselwhite,etc working with many of them .
In 2006 they recorded their live album "Live in Yorcksloschen.Berlin"in the well known blues and jazz club where they often play when they are in town
Their danceable music goes from the old time downhome blues to the more modern Chicago blues style,adding to it lots of funky and soul flavours as well as even hip hop or latino,making their music fit to all kinds of audiences.

Los Reyes del K.o llegan con su poderoso show lleno de directos de puro blues,uppercuts al cuerpo llenos de funky y ganchos cargados de soul,para que no pares de bailar asalto tras asalto hasta que suene la campana.
Los Reyes del K.O. son Marcos Coll y Adrian Costa,dos gallegos que unidos por su aficion y dedicacion al blues y a la musica negra en general,han mostrado su manera de entender esta musica por medio mundo.En festivales compartiendo escenarios con los mas grandes como Chuck Berry,Solomon Burke, Buddy Guy,John Mayall,the Animals,The Faboulous Thunderbirds,etc etc, o en las mas importantes salas de este genero ,como el Buddy Guy's Legends en Chicago o el Terra Blues en New York.
Despues de haberse conocido de niños en el colegio,en 1993 deciden formar una banda de"blues"amateur para dar rienda suelta a su devocion por este tipo de musica.Despues de muchos conciertos de ambito local ,en bares,casas okupadas o en la misma calle,Marcos decide irse a Madrid a probar suerte .Despues de hacer todo tipo de trabajos por el dia,y de tocar en diferentes formaciones y jam sessions por la noche,recibe la llamada de la banda decana de blues en Espana,la Tonky Blues Band.Este hecho cambiaria su vida sobre todo a nivel profesional y mas tarde tambien la de su "soul Brother" Adrian.
Despues de muchos conciertos y de acompañar a artistas como Mick Taylor (guitarrista de Rolling Stones)al cabo de un par de años llega Adrian tambien a la cuidad y pasa inmediatamente a formar parte de Tonky Blues Band ,primero de bateria,luego de bajista,para ya mas tarde acabar tocando su instrumento natural,la guitarra.
Fueron unos años muy intensos,teniendo como momento culmen la gira y grabacion con el legendario bateria y cantante de Jimmy Hendrix entre otros, Buddy Miles.Este hecho cambio su manera de ver las cosas,y fue una leccion tanto musical como humana que ya nunca olvidarian.
En el 2002 ya estaban preparados para montar su propia banda.
Despues de reunir a una de las mejores secciones ritmicas,Javier Vacas y Antonio Alvarez,en solo dos meses ya estan en el estudio grabando su primer disco CollvsCosta,producido por Ñaco Goñi,que mas tarde ganaria el premio al mejor disco de blues en España
Los siguientes años fueron de mucho trabajo por toda la geografia nacional ,muchos festivales de blues e incluso traspasando la linea entre el blues y lo comercial al tocar en eventos de pop o rock,como el programa de Tve Musica 1,siendo la primera banda de blues en hacerlo
Despues de grabar el disco Homemade Blues,producido por su amigo Dani Alcover en sept de 2004 ,con motivo de su actuacionen el festival de blues de Scmoltz,hacen su primera incursion en Alemania,al ver la gran aceptacion que tienen en dicho pais deciden mudarse y hacer de Berlin su residencia.
Con la ayuda de Michael Maass y sobre todo de Christian Rannenberg,que a la postre produce su disco Hot Tin Roof,(nominado para los prestigiosos premios Deutsche Schallplaten )consiguen hacerse un hueco en el panorama del blues europeo,actuando en muchos festivales de renombre,asi como ganando premios como el Berlin Jazz&Blues Award 2005.
Alli en Alemania conocen a grandes musicos de blues que tienen su residencia en Europa,como Sidney"Guitar Crusher"Selby, Angela Brown ,Eb Davis,Sugar Blue ,Charlie Musselwhite etc etc y empiezan tambien a trabajar com muchos de ellos.
en 2006 graban su directo en Berlin en el club de jazz y blues Yorcksloschen,el mitico club donde puedes verlos actuar cuando estan en la ciudad.
Su musica transita desde el blues mas primitivo ,al mas moderno Chicago Blues,como muchos colores funky,soul,e incluso hip hop o latino.Con su ritmo ,energia y humor hacen que nadie se quede quieto,haciendo que mucha gente cambie el cliche que tiene sobre lo que es un concierto de blues. .
