Drawing heavy influence, at the time, from the darker corners of hip hop, his music reflected a distinct "horror movie" style, with a, at times, risque sound. After pushing the CD sales at every opportunity he could, he gained a decent fan-base, and enough money to begin funding a better-quality home studio to further hone his craft. By the end of the year 2000, work had already begun on the then anticipated follow up CD, entitled "Vivid DepikshunZ", which was released mid-2001.
The sophomore CD, which was also produced almost entirely by Renigade, showcased a wider array of styles of hip hop. While the over-whelming tone was still very dark, Renigade began to branch into a more lyrical direction than the previous release. With the popularity of this release came the onset of more CD sales, as well as the opportunity to start doing shows, in both Michigan and Canada.
From 2001 until the start of 2003, Renigade began to study different techniques of rap, and working on every collaboration track he could to practice the new skills he learned. Studying under a much more diverse array of music, he began to draw different ties of sound into his own, even from outside of the hip hop genre. 2003 brought on the biggest, and the most eclectic release yet! In December, the highly anticipated third album "A Tribute to Life and Death" was released.
This album was a bench-mark in Renigade's career, not only for the talent that was seen on the CD, but also for the outside-production credits. This was also the first release that was pressed in a 1000 copy run! "Tribute's" sound was crisper, due to new equipment, more diverse, and more mature- painting almost a rainbow-pallet of sound. Songs of love, heartbreak, having fun, and also the darker tones were all present. The was the biggest release yet!
After "Tribute" was released, Renigade started doing more shows, and also focusing on a lot of side projects; such as independent movies, collaboration tracks, and a laundry-list of other media jobs! After a 3 year break from any solo efforts, in 2006, Renigade came back in a newly designed and up-to-date studio, and began working on the hugely hyped follow up CD "Development".
The CD was brought-forth as a living resume, the defining CD; a release saying "This is me as a Developed Artist", and this "credo", of sorts, is what doomed "Development" from the start. Finally, in 2008, after completely redoing the CD twice, after heavy-self-scrutiny and much final debate, Development was released to the masses with a much-better acceptance that anyone could have imagined, even Renigade himself. This CD played out as a homage to Renigade, from Renigade. Each track spoke truth, there was more songs of real-life events, more sounds of actual trials and tribulations, a release that truely reflected Renigade as a person, as Clifford, more-so than just an artist.
Currently, Renigade is hard at work on his "tours-de-force" release "Talent Wasted", which is expected to be nothing short of a masterpiece. The songs already released as a sneak-peek have already recieved an overwhelming response, as well as interest from local Record Companies, rotation on radio, and play at local clubs!
