Though currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Renee Asteria has performed through out the Americas (Argentina, Bolivia, Canada, USA) and Europe (France, Switzerland) and her music has received international radioplay and licensing deals (eg. MTV reality shows).
NEW ALBUM RAZTERIA - Released live Sept. 23rd, 2010 at the Ashkenaz (Berkeley, CA), "RazteRia" (ASTERIA RECORDS), Renee Asteria's 3rd album features performances by Waddell Bell (bass), Lou Neuburger (drums), Joe Bressler (keys), Luke Thomas (guitar, Eenik, Los Angeles) and Mbutshu Yindja (harmonies, Congolese American singer, aka Gode).
RAZTERIA feature tunes include: "ILLEGAL" - a Roots- Reggae, Abyssinians-style tune dedicated to the struggle of immigrants and "RISK", a Reggae tune promoting a message of safe sex and HIV/AIDS prevention.
Gina Madrid aka RAW G brings her passionate deep rap to the table on RISK REMIX. Other appearances include Dan Tino (guitar) on FORGET, Rahman Jamaal McCreadie (Trumpet), Anthony Dellavalle (Sax), Rob Ewing (Trombone) as horn section on WORK IT.
RAIN was co-produced with Matias Martyn (keys, synth) of UNIVERZOO (Argentina), Pablo Prosello (drums), Gonzalo Goitia (bass), Frederico Mocchegiani (guitar).
RazteRia was recorded at ASTERIA Studio and at Expressions College for Digital Arts (Emeryville, expressions.edu) by the students and recording engineer Dennis Kalligas.
