BIOGRAFIA
Muistan kun näin Rendez-Vousin ensimmäistä kertaa keikalla. Paikkana oli pieni ja hikinen rokkiklubi. Katselin rymyävää ryhmää hymyillen ja vaikka oma musiikkimakuni kattaa enemmän engelsmannien touhuja niin arvostan aina hyvää rock-musiikkia jota vedetään asenteella. Siinä
missä lukuisat bändit häipyvät viimeisen tahdin sammuessa pois sekä verkkokalvoilta että tärykalvoilta onnistui Rendez-Vous poikkeuksellisesti jättämään molempiin leimansa.
Keikan jälkeen juttelin laulaja Juffin ja muiden rymyveikkojen kanssa ja huomasin välittömästi että rehvakkaan esiintymisen jälkeen show ei kuitenkaan ollut ohi. Tätä hommaa tehtiin suurella sydämellä ja lavalta pois astuttua jokainen olutkin keikan jälkeen oli ansaittua rock-unelmaa. Toiset kulkee ketjuissaan ja leikkii rock-tähtiä. Toiset on niitä ihan oikeasti.
Seuraavaksi kuulin Rendez-Vousia radiosta ja löysin heidän debyyttialbuminsa kaupasta. Harvalle bändille on voinut yhtä vilpittömästi pitää peukkuja. Ihmettelin miten moinen hurrikaani olisi saatu ängettyä CD-levyn kokoiseen pakettiin. Täysi mahdottomuushan se oli ja jäin kaipaamaan sitä hulvatonta energiaa joka välittyi keikoilla. Silloin en tiennyt että odotukseni oli tulossa palkituksi.
Rendez-Vousin vahvuutena on aina voinut pitää rönsyilevää linjaa ja suoraviivaista touhua. Ratkaisut on tehty enemmän siltä pohjalta mikä tuntuu oikealta eikä taskulaskimen voimin. Rapatessa roiskuu ja mikä tahansa talokin tarvitsee peruskorjausta ajan myötä. Näin myös Rendez-Vous joka debyyttialbumin jälkeen kokosi rivejään uudestaan ja äänitti Raivotanssi-EP:n, jolla yhtye kokeili uudistunutta linjaansa.
Nyt uudella Punaiset Lyhdyt-albumilla Rendez-Vous on tarttunut niihin villeihin ideoihin ja saanut tuekseen entistä häikäilemättömämmän asenteen. Yhtye kirmasi Tampereelle äänittämään teostaan ja tuottajan pallille istahti legendaarinen Mefisto Miettinen. Raivokkaissa rokkibiiseissä bändi kulkee kuin rosvojen kidnappaama pikajuna ja vastapainoksi herkistellään niin ettei kenellekään jää epäselväksi että sanoissa ja soitossa kuuluu myös omakohtaisten kokemusten ääni. Jokainen särkynyt sydän ja rappioromanttinen säe on muuta kuin pateettista kaihoa. Se on perkele totta.
Uudella levyllä kuullaan samanaikaisesti sekä kypsempi että raaempi Rendez-Vous, jota ei voi sivuuttaa. Toivon että nautitte tästä nykyajan pullamössörockista erottuvasta levystä ja omaa tietä kulkevasta yhtyeestä yhtä paljon kuin minä.

HISTORIA
Rendez-vous on perustettu Halloweenina 2002 Juffin ja Kimmon toimesta. Vuoden ja kahden keikan verran paukuteltiin kokoonpanolla Juffi, Kimmo, iwor, Fabio ja Rony. Rumpali Rony vaihtuu Tuurakseen ja taas paukuteltiin vuosi keikkoja tehden.
Myös ensimmäinen omakustanne sai päivänvalon.
Toisen omakustanteen tekoon vaihtuikin rumpaliksi Tommy.
Tehtiin Toinen luku-ep ja kolme lafkaa kiinnostui heti siitä.
Rentut menivät Warnerille. Ohjelmatoimistoksi tuli Popgee.
2006 Tehtiin debyytti pitkäsoitto Valta vaihtuu tuottaja Riionheimona kanssa Turussa NoiseCampilla ja laulut Helsingissä Hip-studiolla.
Levy möi noin 1300 kpl. Levy oli viikon albumina YleX:llä ja sinkut Kesäyö ja Toinen luku soivat tiuhaan radiossa.
Kimmo lähtee bändistä ja kitaraan tarttuu Iwor. Basson varteen tarttuu Guutti. Musiikki muuttuu selkeästi rokimmaksi. Bändi lähtee Warnerilta.
Koitetaan metsästää uusien demojen kanssa levydiiliä, mutta sitä ei löydy. Äänitetään Turussa NoiseCampilla kuuden biisin ep, jonka julkaisee ExtemporeChords. Kyseinen platta tottelee nimeä Raivotanssi.
Tässä vaiheessa Fabio jää hiljalleen kelkasta. Pikku hiljaa Rony tulee bassoon ja Guutti siirtyy toiseen kitaraan.
Keikkaa heitellään ja Tommykin ilmoittaa jättävänsä bändin.
Soitellaan erilaisten rumpaleiden kanssa keikkoja ja tehdään jopa sinkkuakin. Lopulta kesällä 2008 Archie päätyy kannujen taakse.
Loppuvuonna aloitetaan kokopitkän äänitykset Mefisto Miettisen studiolla Ylöjärvellä. Levyn teko takkuilee todella pahasti monessa suhteessa. Aikataulullisesti varmaan eniten.
Rony jää pois bändistä toukokuussa.
BIOGRAPHY
I remember the time when I saw Rendez-Vous for the very first time. The venue was a small and sweaty rock-club. I was watching this crumbling group with a smile on my face and even though my own taste of music covers more stuff like English music I still valuate genuine Rock-music with attitude. When normally the band fades from ones eye and ears after a while well. this band managed to leave it's stain on both of them witch is pretty rare definitely.
After the gig I stayed to talk with Juffi and the guys and I noticed that the show wasn't really over yet. There was something about doing this whole thing and it was that it was done with a whole heart in it and after playing on the stage even every beer afterwards was like living the ultimate rock-dream well deserved. When others just simply go around with chains and stuff attached their jeans looking like rock-stars other people just simply are stars.
It has always been one of the good parts of Rendez-Vous that they've always been able to make music without wondering the scene-lines and still managed to keep it straight an clean rock music. All the decisions have been made by what feels good and right and not always by what seems right. Even the newest of the buildings will need repairing sooner or later and so did Rendez-Vous. After the Rendez-Vous debutalbum it happened in the band and after a while of building it all up together they managed to make an EP called Raivotanssi. In Raivotanssi they tried and showed even they could renew themselves.
Now on 'Punaiset Lyhdyt' has Rendez-Vous finally grabbed on to those wild ideas they had before and managed to get even more ruthless than before. They went to Tampere to make their new album and as a producer they'd have the legendary Mefisto Miettinen. In their new songs one can hear that straight and primitive rock attitude but also the sensitive and calm atmosphere they create makes it sure that the audience can be convinced there's still something out of their own lives in them too. Every single broken heart or Rendes-Vous's blight-romantic line is completely different from those pathetic lines about longing for something or missing someone like every other lines are these days. And that's just simply fucking true.
On their new album one will hear rawer and at the same time more mature Rendez-Vous. A band one really shouldn't miss. I sincerely wish you would enjoy of this music as much as I did because it's something totally different from these modern rock's bubblegum-rockbands. Theyre're really ready to take their own path whether its trendy or not.

HISTORY
Rendez-Vous was found by Juffi and Kimmo at a Halloween 2002.
For a year we played with a lineup Juffi, Kimmo, Iwor, Fabio and Rony.
After a year the drummer Rony decided to leave the band and the new drummer was Tuuras. Also our first EP saw the daylight.
While making our ne EP the drummer changed and we got Tommy as the drummer. We made the EP called 'Toinen Luku' and three major recording companies got interested of it.
So Rendez-Vous signed a contreact with Warner and our gigs would sell Popgee.
2006 we made our debutalbum Valta Vaihtuu with Riionheimo as our producer. The album sold aproximately 1300 copies and it managed to be as the album of the week at YleX. Also the singles Kesäyö and Toinen Luku were playing in the radio a lot.
After awhile Kimmo decides to leave the band and Iwor becomes the guitarist. On the bass we got Guutti.Our Whole music becomes clearly more rockish.
We decide to leave from Warner. With a few demos we're trying to get another deal without a result. We recorded at NoiseCamp Turku our new EP,'Raivotanssi' with six songs on it witch was published by ExtemporeChords.
At this moment Fabio starts to slowly leave behind from the goup and slowly Rony becomes the bassist and Guutti becomes the other guitarist.
