With Rencontrez l'amour, we've been developing our instrumental punk-based surfsound since 2001. We founded RENCONTREZ L AMOUR in KORTRIJK (2001) but changed location after a few years; We operate now from a farm around LEUVEN. But to be honest, we never really left west Flanders. In 2004 we had a first release with BRAZILIAN WAX on our EMMA RECORDS label. Brazilian Wax was noticed by a lot of people: Jenz dw (FIFTY FOOT COMBO), RIF RAF magazine, GODDEAU magazine, BILLYBOP, RADIO SCORPIO, surf master PHIL DIRT, the people of VLAS VEGAS. In the fall and winter of 2005 we recorded a full album with fillip tanghe. He previously recorded GALATASARAY and HAWAI, two other bands from Kortrijk. In May 2006 we released "BORN OF PUNK AND REVERB" with two kick off parties. One at DE KREUN (Kortrijk) and another at the CARLO LEVI (Liège). "Born of punk and reverb" received rave reviews by Rif Raf magazine, Billybop e-zine, digg e-zine, mashnote e-zine, goddeau e-zine and surf master Phil Dirt.

Since we are playing all over Belgium presenting our album. Recently we became a three headed band. Matthew (second guitar player) left for the states.

-Stormachtig debuutalbum dat ten huize (sp) aanzienlijke ravage heeft aangericht. 'Born of Punk And Reverb' raast niet alleen als een tornado voorbij, terwijl er wild wordt gesurft op gigantische monstergolven, maar weet zich ook nog eens moeiteloos van kant-en-klaar geserveerde Dick Dale-surf te ontrukken. En dat gebeurt alles behalve geweldloos. Terwijl talrijke abrubte ritmewisselingen de strak voorbij marcherende linie steroïde-surfgitaren uit elkaar doet stuiven, worden er halsbrekende zijsprongen naar metal, stoner en Slint gemaakt.
