REMORA DEIGN

Bio
Remora Deign was conceived in very early 2004 by Ben Milliron (Bass), and Kyle Hoffman (Guitar, Lead Vocals). The two have been playing together for awhile in other projects, and have outstanding musical chemistry together. They began playing as many shows as possible, though this was always a challenge as all of the members always lived quite far away from each other. Several months later, they had enough time and money to record their first album titled "Red Skies and Lullabies." The band was very excited to complete this project, and once it was finished, their excitement transformed into disappointment. They realized that the album did not live up to their personal expectations, and knew there were many aspects of their music that they wanted to revamp. The band marched on. They kept writing, playing, and never giving up, though the challenges only escalated further, due to all of the current members attending different colleges.
Over the past few years some line-up changes were made due to school and/or other personal reasons. Finally in 2007 the band released their newest album titled "Catharsis" even though certain hardships were presented, such as line-up changes mid-recording and the always pressing matter of funding. At around that same time in 2007, the band was able recruit the talent of Garth Porter on drums. Kyle and Garth have been playing music together since around the age of 12 when they started playing their instruments, so this was an awesome and easy addition. After a couple years of playing together as a 3-Piece, the band acquired Kyle “Deuce” Walter to play keyboard and saxophone. Garth and Kyle have known Deuce since childhood, so his addition to the group was a seamless one.
Between full-time jobs and college classes, its difficult to work practicing around everyone's schedules. Nevertheless, the band is currently working on recording a new album and trying to play as many shows as their busy schedules will allow.
Remora Deign is a band with a name that mostly everyone mispronounces. In case you're curious, its pronounced "Re-MORE-Uh DANE." :)
