Appeared in 1999, the band turned into one of the most popular and widely listened _pop-groups at the national stage in a short period of time. A unique combination of sex appeal and professionalism of Reflex participants and a background of new trend of up-to-date music composed by Vyacheslav Tyurin provided for triumphant progress of this young project. The bands first single called Dalni svet (Distant Light) conquered the hit parade of Europe Plus radio station. But these were just the portents of a coming storm. They gained real fame in 2001 when the song Soiti s uma (I Lose My Mind) reached the first place of Zolotoi Gramofon hit-parade (Golden Gramophone) held by Russkoye Radio during a week. Many weeks passed before the song left the first place of the charts of all main radio stations in Russia. The audience of Dinamit, Eurohit-top-40 and Hit FM clamoured for the song, all Listeners Choice programs broadcasting Soiti s uma (I Lose My Mind).



But that was just the beginning of the hit-conveyor of songs created by the band: the song Pervy Raz (For the First Time) won the top places at Love radio and Interwolna, the song Ya tebya vsegda budu zhdat (I Will Always Wait For You) conquered the top of Love radio hit parade and cracked a record holding over at the third place of Golden Gramophone hit parade.



Reflex has never made ordered a song by other authors: their music is composed within the group. The same applies to words, image, costumes, and art direction of stage performance the offspring of mutual creative work of Reflex. The producer of the band, Vyacheslav Tyurin, shot several clips of the project on his own, including Dalni svet (Distant Light), Soiti s uma (I Lose My Mind), Ya tebya vsegda budu zhdat (I Will Always Wait For You), Padali zvezdy (The stars Were Falling) and Trudno govorit (It Is Difficult To Speak). It is worth noticing that the band has released five albums for the five years of their activities: Vstrechai novy den (Meet another day), Soiti s uma (I Lose My Mind), Ya tebya vsegda budu zhdat (I Will Always Wait For You), Eto lyubov (Its Love) and Non Stop.



The bands service record includes such awards and prizes as Muzykalni podium (Music Podium), Ovatsiya (Ovation), Bomba goda (Bomb of the Year), Zolotoi Gramofon (Golden Gramofon), Debut goda (Debut of the Year), Dvizheniye (Movement), Stopudovy hit (Hundred-Per-Cent Hit), Zvukovaya dorozhka (Sound Track), the title The Best Debut of the Year, The Best Composer of the Year. Besides, their songs Soiti s uma (I lose My Mind), Ya tebya vsegda budu zhdat (I Will Always Wait For You), Pervy raz (For The First Time), Potomu chto ne bylo tebya (Because You Were Away), The Way To Your Heart, Padali zvezdy (The Stars Were Falling) and Trudno govorit (Its Difficult To Speak) received the title of all-Russia and worlds hits.



In summer 2005, the monster hit Tantsy overcame summer chart and video channels. With the release of Pul's in late 2005, the group welcomed a new member, Zhenya Malakhova. THe group then starred in videos as Ya razbila nebo and Zhestkoye Disko. As a new dvd was in the works, the group released Garem, soft lounge versions of previously huge hits.



In Novembe 2006, it became public that the lead singer, Irina Nel'son, would be exitting the group to concentrate once again on solo adventures. This was confirmed in the video for the single Nauchi Lyubit', where she was replaced by new member Nastya Studenikina.
