We are two brothers from Sydney, Australia, who are passionate about God, Life, Hope, Faith, and Salvation. Our songs reflect what Jesus has done in our lives, and we can't help but share it. Our vision is to see many lives transformed through the power of God's Word. Our songs come from personal experience, struggles, highs, lows, but all point to Jesus who is the only Hope in this life.
Redruth don't compromise the message of hope and salvation. Their direct lyrics and soothing melodies are a powerful mix. When ministering live, the unique blend of faith based songs blend seamlessly with personal testimony and uplifting encouragement, and an opportunity for the audience to make the life changing decision to give their hearts to Jesus. These songs are written to answer questions, give hope, build faith and change lives for Christ, and have impacted many across the nation.
Founding members of Redruth, twin brothers Stephen and Keith Heffernan, first started the band mid 2007. After growing up gaining experience playing in various bands, they both reached a point where they desired God's will, not their own, for their lives and music. It was a new beginning, a fresh start, and a test of Faith.
The name Redruth comes from the story of their Great Great Grandmother, Jane Bolitho Reed, from the town Redruth in Cornwall, England. She was brought up as a great woman of Faith, who desired to please God and live His will for her life. She reached a point in her life where she needed put her on plans and dreams aside, sensing the call to travel to Africa as a missionary, before ultimately settling in Australia. Her story of great faith and courage has inspired us to live lives that are fully devoted to God, willing to obey and Go.
Over the past two years, Redruth have toured across Australia, had two albums released in Koorong stores across the country, been part of all the major Christian festivals and events in Australia, visted countless youth groups/churches/schools/outreaches and seen people saved, ministered on the streets to the public through busking and personal evangelism, and been heard on and supported by many radio stations. Our heart is to serve churches with our ministry, to see people built up and encouraged in their Faith, and to see souls saved and brought into the Kingdom.
