Redburn better known as (Dj Red) , is an American entertainer, disc jockey, & record producer. Red has grown into becoming a local star, a regional icon, and soon to be a national/worldwide known act. Redburn has made a movement and has put a dent in the Hip-Hop community as well as the music business as a Dj and an emcee. He has reached most of his success by himself, being a hard-working, ambitious local music entrepreneur. Most Dj’s get a head start by working for local and regional radio stations, where in Red’s case, he did it all through the street market and promoting himself. Red has been working in the business for the past 10 years as a Dj, promoter, manager, national booking agent, producer, and now has turned to gripping the microphone as an emcee. He has been along side of several national artists such as Bone Thugs –n- Harmony, Ying Yang Twins, D12, Russell Simmons, Petey Pablo, MC Breed, Dayton Family, Royce Da 5’9, Vanilla Ice, Tone Loc, G-Unit, Ciara, Doggie Fresh, Ludacris, Lil Flip, Young Dro, Lil Wayne, T.I., Fat Joe, Nelly, and many more. His advantage over most artists starting in the business is his past opportunity’s to witness all working angles of the music industry. Being a long term Dj in the business, he has the ability to be his own critic, creating his own feedback and criticism. He has been praised for his "local energy" and for arousing popular interest in dance and party songs. Redburn’s sound has become a crowd-pleasing essence, with his high energy, body-thumping beats, and his lyrical dance harmony’s. He continues to keep a pace with today’s dance-music movement and industry as it makes different turns in today’s society. The multi-talented artist has made many accomplishments as a music industry entrepreneur and is currently satisfied with being an independent artist. His biggest struggle during the years was the time of taking full custody of his two daughters, which put a burden on his career but created a strength and ability to bring him back to the business as a father of two and a son of music. Redburn currently operates his own production company (Dj Red Productions) and owns his own independent record label entitled “Redburn Records”. He will continue to tour independently and one day soon “make it to the top”. Red is constantly making “Heads Turn”.
