Rebel Fly

After the Break up of Robert Rios's band Thirty-Six Drive and his move from Dallas Oregon to Santa Barbara California he continued to write and play music on his own. He Began Jamming with Friends Alan and Aaron Kohl from the band No Decency yet they were already really busy with school and work and nothing really took off. After searching for dedicated musicians for several months Robert was unable to find anyone who was as motivated to start a band as he was. So he started his own project, Rebel Fly. Named for when Robert was trying to swat flys drunk screaming die Rebel Fly He recorded his first record for this Project in January 2005 titled the "A New Beginning", it is a rough 15-song recording with just Guitar and vocals. Robert Then moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where he met guitar player CJ Stedman from Jacob's Hero who joined Robert's project on second guitar. Then one of CJs friends introduced them to Thomas Reeder and Thomas joined the band on drums. Soon after adding Thomas on drums Robert's brother Lou who had just moved to the bay area from Puerto Rico stepped in on bass. After two shows CJ Stedman was asked to leave the band for undisclosed reasons and Rebel Fly continued as a 3 piece. Then In March 2006, Lou met Adrian Rodriguez at Bar Tending School in San Francisco and Adrian began to come to all of our shows. Then one drunken night, Adrian picked up a guitar at a party when Robert was playing some Rebel Fly songs and Adrian knew exactly how to play all the songs with him. After that night they asked Adrian to join the band. Then due to some conflicts with practice schedules and coordinating parts, they decided that they wanted to continue as a three piece. So they went back to a three piece. Rebel Fly however are currently not together.But Robert and Thomas are working on there new project Faithless Saints check them out at www.myspace.com/faithlesssaints
